DevOps Platform Engineer

Summary

The job is for a DevOps/Platform Engineer at TROOP, a remote-first group meeting planning platform. The role involves improving systems, working with developers on code releases, planning infrastructure projects, ensuring infrastructure supports development workflows, and documenting work. Required experience includes Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes (GKE), the Grafana stack or other observability services, strong problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (we use Terraform)
• Experience with Kubernetes. (we use GKE)
• Experience with the Grafana stack. or other observability services
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Assessing current systems and processes and developing ways to improve them
• Working with developers and other IT colleagues to oversee code releases
• Planning out infrastructure projects
• Ensuring infrastructure is supporting development workflows and development tooling
• Documenting your work

Preferred Qualifications

• Background with a programming language
• Experience with GCP or any major Cloud provider
• Experience with ArgoCD. and Helm
• Experience with Gitlab/GitHub. and CI automation
• Experience with the concept “Everything as Code.”
