Summary

The job is for a DevSecOps team member at Parity, a core blockchain infrastructure company. The role involves securing networks, operating systems, containers, pipelines, and code. Responsibilities include advising Infra Engineering and IT teams on security topics, organizing penetration testing, writing and enabling adoption of company-wide security standards, and mentoring other team members.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a focus on outcomes (rather than activities) and outcome-based delivery
  • Provide leadership within a team of skilled DevSecOps professionals, ideally with experience of leading and growing a team
  • Partner with multiple teams in order to tackle issues including clarifying requirements, communicating and convincing them
  • Be comfortable with a Linux-based tech stack (managed VMs, SSH, VPNs, firewalls,)
  • Have experience with Kubernetes (incl. managed), Terraform, Ansible, Github, Gitlab,, ArgoCD, Image registries
  • Have experience with various cloud platforms including, Google Cloud, non-managed providers

Responsibilities

  • Advise Infra Engineering and IT teams on security topics and support their work from the security standpoint
  • Organize and perform penetration testing of our infrastructure, and collaborate with external parties on those tests
  • Pick tools, methods, and approaches to maintain and improve the security stance of the company
  • Write and enable adoption of company-wide security standards and guidelines, as well as implementing tools and automation to enable their deployment
  • Mentor other team members on all matters related to security and IT and infrastructure engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Have an understanding of blockchain tech and associated tooling (wallets, keys, RPC nodes and indexers etc.)
