Requirements

  • Possess an active U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in front-end or back-end development
  • Proven expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks (ExtJs, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Experience with .NET, PHP, or SharePoint
  • Experience with Agile Scrum
  • Experience contributing to DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding techniques
  • Knowledge of Section 508 standards
  • Proficiency in one or more languages or platforms such as C#, Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and Spring
  • Experience with DB2, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and/or MySQL
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define software requirements and design specifications
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and alignment with established architectural guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues, working closely with the QA team
  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation and deployment
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth and reliable deployment and operation of software applications
