Digital Authentication Specialist I

Summary

Join the Operations team at GOAT Group and become a vital part of our global distribution network. You will play a key role in authenticating luxury fashion listings, ensuring they meet marketplace standards before sale. Responsibilities include reviewing and authenticating listings, removing unsafe items, and accurately describing products. You will also contribute to team training and development, process improvement initiatives, and support administrative tasks. This role requires strong knowledge of fashion, proven problem-solving skills, and authentication abilities in at least three designer brands. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Grailed and possess impeccable judgment.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and interest in fashion
• Passion for and interest in the listed designers and categories
• Strong, proven problem-solving skills
• Strong authentication abilities in at least three distinct designers
• Availability to work weekends and holidays (as scheduled)

Responsibilities

• Authenticate listings
• Review and authenticate listings before they are available for sale
• Remove unsafe listings or listings that don’t meet our marketplace standards
• Ensure that listings are accurately described (size, condition) and in the right strata
• Respond to community and marketing requests for additional item moderation
• Review authentication defect reports to understand the nature of inauthentic items that made it through the authentication process to support the team’s continuous improvement efforts
• Train and develop authentication skills
• Stay up to date on how to authenticate specialty brands
• Attend training or mentorship sessions with team leads to increase brand and authentication knowledge
• Host training or conduct mentorship sessions to contribute to team learning
• Contribute to company-wide initiatives and OKRs
• Understand how authentication work affects defect rate and metrics for the item authentication team overall
• Recognize how authentication volume affects SLA and metrics for the item authentication team overall
• Contribute to the ideation, development, and implementation of process improvement or metric improvement initiatives within the team as needed
• Support Team Lead on administrative tasks in service of strata wide metrics and KRs
• Attend and participate in All-Hands meetings with the Item Authentication team
• Other duties as assigned
