Requirements

  • Proven track record as a digital copywriter, preferably in an agency or marketing environment
  • Demonstrable expertise in writing, editing, and proofreading, supported by a diverse portfolio of digital copy samples
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing principles, encompassing SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), social media management tools, and analytics platforms
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients, and translating complex concepts into digestible content
  • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
  • Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive style guides and content briefs tailored to each client, encompassing audience insights, tone of voice, and keyword strategies
  • Establish and maintain an editorial content calendar for full management projects, overseeing projects from conceptualization through post-launch assessment
  • Assign and oversee content requests for freelance writers, ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance with copyright and privacy regulations
  • Meticulously edit and proofread content for accuracy, coherence, grammar, style, and alignment with brand guidelines
  • Assist the Manager, Digital Content in recruiting and onboarding new freelance talent, and ensuring prompt compensation for completed projects
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams—including marketing, design, and SEO—to craft cohesive content strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Maintain accurate project records to ensure efficient workflow and project tracking
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, adopting best practices and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance content quality and efficacy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Communications
  • Experience working with large freelance networks
  • Travel writing experience
  • Bi/multilingual
  • Functional understanding of HTML
