Summary

Requirements
- Be a talented visual designer who can create original designs from scratch and provide expert creative and technical direction
- Be well-versed in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools, software, or applications
- Understand the βwhyβ and βhowβ of projects; find solutions that meet goals while delivering stunning work
- Be able to conceptualize ideas in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and a path forward
- Be capable of producing compelling artwork (icons, illustrations, patterns, and maps)
- Have an understanding of typography and visual identity/branding
- Have knowledge of UX/UI laws and best practices
- Be able to organize and prepare final artwork and think about functional and technical production to collaborate with front-end and CMS developers
- Be able to manage time to juggle multiple projects with strict deadlines, be proactive when seeking feedback or collaboration, and act as a team player
Responsibilities
- Work under one or multiple art directors on various projects
- Act as an extension of staff to DMO clients to help create design assets (website design, digital or print design, logo and brand design)
- Work within a refined set of processes and under clear deadlines to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery of assets that meet internal and external expectations
- Collaborate with other designers when appropriate, but mainly be responsible for sole execution of projects from start to finish
- Maintain organizational detail in work (design notes, mood boards, clean file structure, error-free work)
- Complete time entries daily to ensure proper tracking of project scope and budget
- Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
- Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Be able to present thoughts and decisions about work to clients in professional meetings
- Have knowledge of designing for various digital marketing strategies (campaigns, landing pages, and ads)
- Have a general understanding of user and behavioral psychology
