Requirements

• Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution
• Master's degree in nursing
• Minimum of seven years in leadership roles within nursing education and accreditation
• At least ten years of experience as a faculty member in higher education
• Proven track record in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
• Strong organizational, research, analytical, and critical thinking skills for data gathering, information compilation, report preparation, and proposing innovative solutions
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a team to achieve annual goals
• In-depth knowledge of program accreditation criteria and regulatory standards
• Proficiency in computer databases, spreadsheets, and statistical applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work within a matrix organization in a fast-paced environment
• Expertise in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing educational programs
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the approval processes from accrediting and regulatory bodies for new programs and campuses
• Oversee the development and submission of self-study reports for accreditors/regulators and manage self-study site visits for program/location reviews
• Collaborate with Chamberlain University Academic and Operations leaders to ensure programs comply with accreditation criteria and regulatory standards
• Support advocacy efforts for new innovations by evaluating the regulatory/accreditation impact of proposed innovations for current and new programs
• Research and maintain data on certification, accreditation, and licensure requirements for all programs and campuses
• Provide ongoing monitoring of rules and regulations related to accreditation and regulatory requirements, developing appropriate agency relationships in coordination with Adtalem’s Educational Authorization and Regulatory Affairs departments
• Track legislative developments related to accreditation and licensing of Chamberlain University programs/locations and communicate updates to relevant individuals
• Ensure the accuracy of Chamberlain University catalog content and coordinate with the marketing department for appropriate distribution via internet and print
• Serve as the primary liaison with state boards of nursing during the initial application process
• Participate in assessment activities that support accreditation processes
• Serve as an ex-officio member of Chamberlain University committees to provide input on state, federal, and professional organization requirements and standards
• Participate in curriculum development projects to ensure compliance with state and professional organization requirements
• Assume responsibility for faculty and staff orientation to and support of accreditation processes and requirements
• Complete other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards
