Requirements
- Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Master's degree in nursing
- Minimum of seven years in leadership roles within nursing education and accreditation
- At least ten years of experience as a faculty member in higher education
- Proven track record in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational, research, analytical, and critical thinking skills for data gathering, information compilation, report preparation, and proposing innovative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a team to achieve annual goals
- In-depth knowledge of program accreditation criteria and regulatory standards
- Proficiency in computer databases, spreadsheets, and statistical applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a matrix organization in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing educational programs
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the approval processes from accrediting and regulatory bodies for new programs and campuses
- Oversee the development and submission of self-study reports for accreditors/regulators and manage self-study site visits for program/location reviews
- Collaborate with Chamberlain University Academic and Operations leaders to ensure programs comply with accreditation criteria and regulatory standards
- Support advocacy efforts for new innovations by evaluating the regulatory/accreditation impact of proposed innovations for current and new programs
- Research and maintain data on certification, accreditation, and licensure requirements for all programs and campuses
- Provide ongoing monitoring of rules and regulations related to accreditation and regulatory requirements, developing appropriate agency relationships in coordination with Adtalemโs Educational Authorization and Regulatory Affairs departments
- Track legislative developments related to accreditation and licensing of Chamberlain University programs/locations and communicate updates to relevant individuals
- Ensure the accuracy of Chamberlain University catalog content and coordinate with the marketing department for appropriate distribution via internet and print
- Serve as the primary liaison with state boards of nursing during the initial application process
- Participate in assessment activities that support accreditation processes
- Serve as an ex-officio member of Chamberlain University committees to provide input on state, federal, and professional organization requirements and standards
- Participate in curriculum development projects to ensure compliance with state and professional organization requirements
- Assume responsibility for faculty and staff orientation to and support of accreditation processes and requirements
- Complete other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards
