Join Pomelo Care's multidisciplinary team as a leader of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), focusing on improving perinatal health outcomes. You will recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team, monitor care quality, address barriers to care, and hold the team accountable for improving patient outcomes. This role involves collaborating with clinical leadership, providing insights for process improvements, supporting professional growth, and occasionally assisting with patient care. The position is remote with occasional travel.
Requirements
- Masterโs degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program, National Board Certification in specialty area, and active, unrestricted licensure in at least one Nursing Compact state required
- 7+ years of practicing as an APRN serving maternal-newborn health populations. Experience working with Medicaid populations strongly preferred
- 4+ years experience leading a team, or 2+ years at Pomelo Care as an APP with sustained high performance
- Are internet-connected and have the ability to work remotely
- Willing to travel occasionally (infrequent)
- Understand the prevalence of and role that birth inequity and structural racism play in maternal morbidity and mortality
- Are facile with multiple tech platforms, with an eagerness to recommend platform improvements and test out new systems
- Thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Phenomenal interpersonal and communication skills

- Able to cultivate a team of highly accountable APPs
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of high-performing APPs delivering high-quality care to our patients
- Monitor quality of care and performance across a team of APPs, identifying training opportunities at both the individual and team level. Work with nurse educators and care operations to roll out additional trainings across the APP team
- Support the team in addressing barriers to care that have been identified by patients and/or the care team
- Hold the team accountable for improving outcomes through increasing patientsโ uptake of our population health programs and protocols
- Provide insights about frontline care and opportunities for process improvements to leadership and multi-disciplinary stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for professional growth for each individual on the team and support them in working toward those goals
- Partner closely with clinical leadership across the organization, including Medical Directors and Heads of Nursing & Specialty programs
- Able to step in to support patient care when needed
