This is an essential role responsible for guiding the development and implementation of products, policies, practices, and clinical programs within the client’s environment.
Requirements
- OASIS (COS-O, HCS-O) and/or ICD10 Certification (HCS-D and BCHH-C)
- Must be a license Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT)
- Bachelor’s Degree: Advanced Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field is required
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment, care planning and documentation standards
- 3-5 years of business operations management and leadership experience
- Deep domain experience in operations of the intake process, referral and admission management across multiple branches or regions with an understanding of operational workflow across multiple teams
- Well versed in PDGM, Quality improvement and alternative payment models, including value-based purchasing
- Demonstrated leadership and management competencies and skills including excellent home health quality and compliance acumen, financial competence, operational excellence, exceptional communication, and customer service skills
- Play a pivotal role in guiding our clients through organizational transformations. You will collaborate with leadership teams to develop and implement management strategies through consulting, ensuring successful outcomes and employee engagement
- Work closely with clients to understand their organizational goals, challenges and change initiatives
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and maintain effective communication throughout the change process
- Assess organizational readiness for change and develop tailored change management strategies
- Identify potential sources of resistance to change and develop proactive strategies to address and mitigate resistance
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of change initiative
- Ability to analyze and make informed decisions with complex data, processes, identify gaps, and propose solutions for workflow optimization
- Excellent strategic consulting, negotiation, communication, and planning skills to drive growth and achieve operational targets
- Strong understanding of healthcare trends, emerging technologies, and digital solutions
- Travel required up to 33% for sales, implementation, company, and other meetings as necessary
Responsibilities
- Consult and drive operational changes, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s mission; specifically, home health and hospice intake and post admission quality review process flow and management of business process and organizational planning
- Understand the operational transition between referral and admissions from a workflow and branch operations perspective. Be able to work with the teams from branch level to leadership from intake to the executive team and make it seamless. Then oversee outcomes (timely initiation of care, conversion, etc.)
- Play a significant role in long-term planning through ongoing consultation support to key client leadership and staff. This role supports decision makers to utilize the Medalogix application to supplement their normal coding process
- Supervise, coach, and establish regular meetings with excellent presentation skills to executive leaders and staff around operational management flows, KPIs, adoption and outcomes to enhance operational efficiency
- Must be able to coordinate and communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and medical staff, and be able to teach and develop others with an ability to prioritize, make decisions and set clear expectations for others
- Participates in the implementation of Medalogix products which supports client priorities, initiatives, and strategies
- Develop and revamps programs to facilitate rapid adoption and engagement of Medalogix software and workflow solutions post-deployment, including a thorough needs assessment to identify specific educational requirements of the target audience throughout the customer lifecycle and drive adoption strategies for long term success
- Understands and communicates clients’ needs internally for prioritized product development
- Partners cross-functional consulting services to support MLX internal and external information and guidance in clinical, operational, and regulatory matters to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Conducts thorough research and analysis to stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the healthcare industry, incorporating this knowledge into our transformation strategies
- All other job-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical experience in home health or related care settings is strongly preferred
- Not required but can be of benefit is knowledge of coding
- Homecare Homebase experience strongly preferred
