Summary

Join TerrAscend, a leading North American cannabis operator, as the Director, Data & Analytics. You will design, implement, and maintain robust analytics solutions, focusing on building scalable data pipelines and creating efficient data models using Power BI. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet business objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in analytics, data integration, or data engineering
  • Proficiency with Power BI, including dashboard creation, DAX, and performance optimization
  • Strong skills in SQL, including complex query development and optimization
  • Experience building ETL pipelines and integrating data from multiple sources
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end analytics solutions, including ETL pipelines, data integration, and visualizations
  • Develop and optimize scalable data models to support reporting and analytical needs
  • Create and manage Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring performance and usability
  • Write, optimize, and manage SQL queries to extract and transform data from multiple sources
  • Monitor and maintain the health of data pipelines and analytics systems to ensure continuous availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production data processes and visualizations
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to optimize system performance and reliability
  • Implement automation for recurring data tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors
  • Integrate diverse data sources, including ERP, CRM, and third-party systems, into a unified platform
  • Ensure data quality by implementing validation checks and monitoring data flows
  • Adhere to data governance policies to maintain security, compliance, and accuracy
  • Collaborate with IT to design and maintain robust data infrastructure, including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure quality, security, and compliance
  • Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with data engineers and IT staff to build robust infrastructure for analytics
  • Communicate complex data concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing data workflows, visualizations, and models
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to apply innovative solutions
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for analytics solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in production environments with real-time or near-real-time data processing
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data manipulation
  • Certifications in data analytics or cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with regulated industries, such as cannabis, healthcare, or finance
