Requirements
- 10+ years in DevOps, including 5+ years in leadership roles, with a proven ability to drive material business impact in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with AWS, Cloudflare, Terraform, Snowflake, and other cloud-hosted solutions
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP or equivalent programs
- Experience managing teams in organizations with more than 25 engineers
- Proven track record of delivering services on time and within budget in startup cultures
- Demonstrated ability to create effective monitoring systems that balance visibility and noise reduction
- Strong foundation in software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to distill complex problems into actionable steps
Responsibilities
- Drive the adoption and optimization of cloud technologies, including AWS, Cloudflare, Terraform, and Snowflake, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices
- Collaborate across engineering and executive teams to anticipate needs, foster alignment, and develop solutions that balance technical excellence with business objectives
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, effectively communicating priorities, roadmaps, and solutions to stakeholders at all levels, including the CISO, CEO, and engineering teams
- Establish and maintain an actionable monitoring system that ensures optimal visibility into system performance, minimizing false alarms while addressing real issues promptly
- Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and timely delivery of solutions that meet diverse needs
- Lead a DevOps team of 5 engineers, with opportunities for growth tied to business objectives and team performance
- Implement scalable architecture and design patterns while ensuring compliance with security standards, including FedRAMP or equivalent programs
- Lead initiatives for resource management, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization to ensure seamless scalability and reliability
- Transform open-ended questions into actionable plans that can be implemented by the team to address complex business challenges effectively
