Summary
The job is for a Director of Corporate Audit - IT at Axon. The role involves ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of Axon's IT general controls and processes, leading the IT Corporate Audit team, conducting risk-based internal audits, and staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems / Management Information Systems or related field
- 8+ years audit experience, either internal or external
- Extensive experience overseeing and conducting IT SOX control testing for large public companies, including a comprehensive knowledge of IT General Controls
- Proven track record of leading risk-based internal audits within a large public company, and familiarity with industry best practices for risk management and mitigation
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to the IT Corporate Audit team, setting clear objectives and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Oversee and execute the end-to-end process of IT SOX control testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess control design and effectiveness
- Lead and conduct risk-based internal audits, identifying areas of potential risk and developing audit plans accordingly
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing processes, controls, and governance structures
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationship with our External Audit firm, including coordinating audit activities, providing necessary documentation, and ensuring a seamless audit process
- Directly manage and mentor a high-performing IT audit team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations effectively to executive management and stakeholders; prepare and present clear, concise, and insightful reports on audit results and status
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and / or Certified Internal Auditor designation
