Summary

Join Foresight Diagnostics, a molecular diagnostics company developing non-invasive cancer detection technologies, as their Director, Laboratory Informatics. This role is responsible for the Laboratory Information Management Software (LIMS) product strategy and development to support laboratory operations. You will lead software development in LabVantage LIMS, overseeing the product lifecycle from concept to obsolescence. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial to build high-throughput lab operations, focusing on automation and efficiency. The position requires strong LIMS expertise, experience in NGS labs, and a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams. Compensation includes a salary between $190,000 - $225,000, bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management including in lab operations software/ LIMS / lab products
  • Strong to expert knowledge of LabVantage LIMS
  • Prior experience building and implementing LIMS in an NGS lab
  • Prior LIMS experience in sample management, equipment and reagent management, instrument integration, and user and security management
  • Strong understanding of and experience with key areas in running a high throughput highly efficient lab including automation, capacity and performance planning and more
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams and ability to build rapport with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Be highly adaptable, willing to tackle challenges, motivated to work in high-performance environment, and ability to execute tactically while also thinking strategically

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy and roadmap for the LabVantage Lab Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high throughput lab operations with a focus on automation to reduce COGS, increase turnaround time, and scaling to support high volume
  • Build the software tools that address various Lab Operations Software needs from assay execution, sample management, equipment and reagents management, user and security management, and lab capacity, scheduling, and performance management
  • Collaborate with software engineering and bioinformatics teams that are part of the technology suite driving testing from sample to report
  • Partner with Lab Operations leaders and contribute to the strategy of running a high throughput and highly efficient lab, and ensuring a seamless user experience for lab operators
  • Define and track KPIs to discover future product opportunities; analyze relevant data to drive decision-making
