Summary

Join InductiveHealth as the Accounting Lead and take ownership of core accounting operations for a fast-growing SaaS organization. You will provide direction and support to accounting team members, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This role involves hands-on execution and guiding others. The ideal candidate enjoys leading by example and combining hands-on execution with the ability to guide and coach others. You will perform daily accounting functions, manage accounts receivable and payable, prepare financial statements, and lead the month-end and year-end close processes. You will also coordinate with external auditors and assist in developing financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead accounting capacity
  • SaaS industry experience required; private equity-backed company experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with revenue recognition as it relates to a SaaS organization
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite highly preferred) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to apply it to practical, day-to-day accounting activities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
  • Manage and work directly on full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable operations, balancing and prioritizing workflows to maintain accurate cash flow and strong vendor/customer relationships
  • Prepare and review financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow); ensuring accuracy through your own work and the oversight of others
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes while actively performing key closing tasks
  • Coordinate directly with external auditors; preparing documentation, answering questions, and following up on audit requests
  • Oversee and ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606, including reviewing contracts, identifying performance obligations, and preparing related journal entries
  • Assist in developing and refining financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring they are practical for day-to-day use
  • Partner with the CFO and Director of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, contributing both analysis and tactical execution
  • Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the more junior accounting staff, offering direction while working alongside them to meet deadlines

  • Proven experience improving accounting processes while still performing daily transactional work
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members by working alongside them on deliverables
