Summary

Join our team as a Director of Client Engagement, a remote position requiring 10+ years of auditing physician practices. You will direct and advise clients, develop training programs, manage staff, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Extensive healthcare industry knowledge, coding experience, and familiarity with regulatory guidelines are essential. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also required. The position includes travel to client sites and national conferences (approximately 10% of the time). Certifications such as CPC, CPMA, or RHIT are required, with CPC-I preferred. Requirements

  • At least 10 years of auditing experience for physician practices, preferably across multiple specialties
  • Resourceful, organized, extremely driven and have the ability to create training programs and present in large or small groups
  • Extensive healthcare industry knowledge and experience in and around coding, billing, auditing, compliance and reimbursement for physician practices including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10
  • Extensive coding experience in multiple specialties
  • Extensive knowledge of AMA, OIG, CMS and other national coding and compliance guidelines
  • Experience developing and delivering training material, PowerPoint presentations, webinars and reports for physicians, management and coders
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Manage auditor & coding staff to ensure smooth operations of daily activities and that productivity and quality standards are being met
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven attitude
  • Ability to think critically and determine the best method for completing tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and keep a sense of urgency
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic
  • Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • CPC
  • CPMA or RHIT

Responsibilities

  • Direct and advise clients on post audit findings, recommendations and training opportunities and actions to improve compliance
  • Develop coding and documentation training programs for providers, auditors, coders and other healthcare organizations
  • Coordinate the allocation and assignment of department resources to ensure client projects are delivered on time, on budget and that client expectations are exceeded
  • Manage client needs and expectations to ensure project scope, requirements and deliverables are developed appropriately with clients
  • Maintain department audit standards, protocols and guidelines
  • Provide feedback written and verbally to coders, auditors, and providers. Develop training material and Power Point presentations as well
  • Audit medical records to validate clinical documentation to support evaluation and management services, ancillary services, procedures, and diagnoses
  • Research regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation
  • Prepare audit summary findings, providing detailed comments related to the audit findings and make recommendations
  • Prepare oral and/or written reports of audit activity to Supervisor
  • Responsible and accountable for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information. Follow HIPAA security policies and procedures affecting your job, and report any suspected or actual violation or breach
  • Requires travel to client sites as well as national conferences, approximately 10% of the time
  • Perform other duties as assigned
