Summary

Join The Bayard Project as the Director of Finance & Accounting (DFA) and lead TBP's financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial standards. Requirements

• Align with TBP’s values of Black Queer Feminism, Abolition, and Anti-Capitalism
• Have at least five years of experience managing financial operations for nonprofits, including budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting
• Possess a deep understanding of GAAP, IRS regulations for public charities, and fund-accounting principles
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, and other financial systems like Bill.com, Ramp, and Sage Intacct

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial standards
• Develop and implement budgets that align with organizational priorities, engaging internal stakeholders in the process
• Provide actionable financial insights through regular reports to leadership and partner organizations
• Build, supervise, and mentor the Finance and Accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Oversee audits, risk management, and compliance efforts to safeguard organizational assets and ensure financial integrity
• Lead the development of robust financial controls, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards
