Requirements

  • 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership, including 2+ years leading leads
  • Proven ability to scale teams and systems in high-growth environments
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to align cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Ensure engineers are productive, learning, and doing meaningful work
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish technical and product goals
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
  • Interview and hire the best and brightest software engineers
  • Mentor and grow individual contributors and managers, helping cultivate their careers
  • Lead foundational, multi-discipline teams of engineers working on complex, full-stack projects with wide impact across the company
  • Drive the strategy for how we test, validate, and safely deliver new features, balancing speed and stability across our web and mobile apps
  • Work closely with product, design, legal and customer support to deliver seamless user experiences
  • Get your hands dirty: review code and contribute when it makes sense
  • Contribute your fair share of memes to our #dev-null slack channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Node.js, Typescript, React-Native, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Datadog
  • Experience with building financial apps
  • Bitcoin knowledge
