Summary

Join Illustrative Mathematics (IM) as the Director, PK-12 Learning Experiences, leading a team in developing the next generation of professional learning (PL) materials aligned with the updated IM PK–12 Math™ curriculum. You will oversee PL product development, collaborate with the PL Product Manager, and ensure efficient processes. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership skills, and experience in curriculum development and professional learning facilitation. You will manage a team, establish reporting structures, and foster collaboration across departments. Requirements

  • At least 7 years of curriculum development experience or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience facilitating and writing professional learning workshops for elementary school, middle school, or high school educators or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory experience, specifically leading small teams, supporting educators, advising coaches, site/district administrators
  • Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Provide the strategic vision and direction of the IM K-12 Math™ professional learning products that are aligned with organizational goals and market demands
  • Direct the design, launch, and continually improve workflows, in collaboration with the Project Manager to adjust work assignments, and maintain quality and timeliness of work products, based on organizational needs
  • Design systems to maintain open communication within the department and across the organization, fostering collaboration by consulting with key contributors, seeking feedback, and integrating cross-departmental expertise
  • Establish regular reporting structures and key performance indicators to share progress on engineering performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for expansion with the manager
  • Lead and manage employees by setting goals, providing guidance and support, and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with Pear Deck, a Learning Management System, and LaTex
  • Proficiency with cloud-based systems, especially Google Workspace applications, Asana, Notion, Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
