Join HashiCorp's Cloud Platform design team as Director of Design! Lead and inspire a team of designers, shaping the vision and strategy for a best-in-class user experience. Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership, driving design excellence across all product interfaces. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a design team, fostering career development and innovation. This remote role, based in the US or Canada, offers the opportunity to work on a large, growing design organization, building a cloud platform to deliver HashiCorp products and services holistically.

• Experience leading design teams
• Experience partnering with PM and Engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the leadership in Product Management and Engineering
• Be a member of the leadership team and drive vision and strategy together
• Lead and inspire a team of designers
• Encourage, coach, and offer constructive feedback to the team
• Lead first-line managers inside your organization
• Mold the team from reactive to strategic, charting a course for what our users expect from a best-in-class User Experience
• Uphold a high craft bar in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and guide the team in continuing to push that bar higher
• Leverage your experience in technical enterprise products, leading design teams, and partnering with PM and Engineering teams to emphasize a workflow-first design
• Understand and embrace complex technical problems and drive a vision to solve them with design
• Manage the day-to-day operations of a design team, including driving career development, empowering innovative design, and enabling a design lens to product discussions
