Distributed Organizing Manager in Worldwide

Summary

Mothers Out Front is seeking a highly motivated leader to drive the success of their distributed campaigns and organizing efforts as a Distributed Organizing Manager. The manager will lead a team, support remote collaboration, develop campaign strategies, build relationships with partners, and ensure effective communication. They require at least 6 years of experience in digital campaigning and organizing, proficiency with digital tools, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to social justice.

Requirements

• At least 6 years experience in digital campaigning and organizing in grassroots, issue advocacy, or electoral settings
• Experience training and developing staff and community members in organizing, power building, community advocacy, and/or influencing policy – especially through digital platforms
• Proficiency with existing digital communications and organizing tools such as Slack, EveryAction, peer-to-peer texting tools, and Google suite, and enthusiasm for learning new tools
• Experience collaborating with communications specialists and contributing to media strategies
• Experience managing, coaching, and empowering staff

Responsibilities

• Help hire, supervise and mentor a national digital campaigner and leaders of volunteer-run working groups
• Effectively support teams of members around the country to collaborate on shared campaigns and projects remotely
• Facilitate the development of local, state, and national campaigns, working with staff campaigners, organizers, and fundraisers as well as member leaders to develop strategies and tactics
• Build relationships with movement partners and represent MOF in national coalitions; support staff and member leaders to participate in state, regional, and national coalitions as needed
