Documentation Team Lead

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead our Documentation and Insurance Verification team, focusing on insurance verifications and chasing documentation for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders in urology, ostomy, wound care, and diabetes. The role is split 65%/35% between performing the work of a Documentation/Insurance Verification Specialist and providing leadership to the team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and preferably have healthcare experience, insurance verification, documentation, or DME experience.

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
• Able to interact and communicate professionally with various levels within the organization
• Ready to step into a small team to drive production and provide basic oversight
• Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills (phone etiquette, spelling, grammar)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership by directing the team on activities to focus attention through patient prioritizations, call strategies, and leading by example
• Drive efficiency by reviewing individual performance and coaching team members to improve their outputs and quality
• Collect documentation by contacting offices to collect and review documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare experience, insurance verification, documentation, and/or DME experience preferred
