Summary

The DOT Compliance Manager at Hanwha Q CELLS USA Corp is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal and state DOT regulations for fleet vehicles and equipment. The position requires strong skills in data management, analytics, and system solutions, as well as experience with construction project management applications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, IS/IT preferred
  • 5 or more years of experience in business operations managing data preferred
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, DAX, Power BI, and Java
  • Experience with data management, analytics, and deployment of system solutions
  • Fundamental understanding and experience with P6, HCSS, Procore, and other construction project management applications
  • Ability to automate workflows and build integrations within existing project management software
  • Ability to troubleshoot data system failures and inefficiencies and provide critical feedback to users and developers
  • Ability to simplify and summarize complex topics for non-technical audiences, and translate non-technical stakeholder needs into technical solutions
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage change and priorities in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensures HQC maintains compliance with all federal and state DOT regulations required on all fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Partners with Fleet & Equipment team to monitor fleet utilization - organizing, and coordinating fleet usage on simultaneous assignments for up to ~500 fleet vehicles or equipment
  • Coordinates with project administrators to collect daily/weekly logs and inspections
  • Reports weekly DOT status to senior leadership
  • Demonstrates familiarity with and ability to stay current regarding changing Federal DOT regulations
  • Oversees use and enforcement of Electronic Log Monitoring (ELD) across the organization, including monitoring of telematics; holds the business accountable for proper use
  • Ensures Quality and Environmental procedures are maintained as related to fleet operation
  • Understands contract terms and recognizes discrepancies
  • Works professionally with clients, vendors, employees, managers, and supervisors
  • Completes random site visits for DOT compliance inspections
  • Conducts on-site training at projects, covering DOT requirements and DOT policy
  • Operates Company aligned vehicle for site visits and business trips
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled, or expected
  • Provides project and ad hoc assignment support to EHSQ team, as directed by supervisor

Benefits

  • $110,000 - $130,000 a year
  • The above-listed salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide
  • Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications
  • An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered
