Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or transportation, preferably within the food manufacturing industry
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation logistics, and warehouse operations
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements, including HACCP, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse and transportation departments, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team, including warehouse staff, transportation drivers, and logistics coordinators. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse storage, inventory management, and transportation routes, reducing costs and improving delivery times
• Ensure accurate and timely inventory management, including receiving, storage, and distribution of products. Implement best practices to minimize shrinkage and ensure product quality
• Oversee the scheduling, routing, and tracking of transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers and distribution centers
• Ensure all warehouse and transportation activities comply with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and enforce compliance through training and audits
• Develop and manage the budget for warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring cost control and maximizing resource utilization
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service levels
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, transportation vendors, and equipment suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective services
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost management. Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure that customer requirements are met and exceeded, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
• Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain, ensuring business continuity and minimizing impact on operations
