Join our high-performing Culinary Team as a Freelance Editorial Assistant! You will play a key role in translating and editing delicious recipes from English to Swedish, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency. Responsibilities include translating recipe cards, creating engaging descriptions, and optimizing language for clarity. You will work closely with the editorial team and manage ad hoc translation projects. This remote freelance position offers a flexible schedule (minimum 15 hours/week) for 6-7 months, starting June 2nd, with an hourly rate of 250 SEK. The ideal candidate possesses professional translation experience, fluency in Swedish and English, and experience with Adobe InDesign.
Requirements
- 1+ year of professional translation experience
- Fluency in Swedish both written and oral in mother tongue
- Fluency in English
- Experience in Adobe InDesign
- A flexible mindset and excitement to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure timely execution of weekly tasks and deadlines
- Your own company and would be able to invoice us (required)
Responsibilities
- Translate, proofread, and edit recipes from English to Swedish, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency of voice and style across all recipe cards
- Bring out your inner copywriter and create intriguing and irresistible recipe descriptions
- Work closely with the local editorial team to eliminate recipe errors if/when product changes are made
- Support our editorial team by handling a range of operational tasks, including managing ad hoc bulk translation projects
- Ensure translated content conveys the original meaning and tone of voice
