Summary

An Electrical Engineering Intern will work with a cross-disciplinary team to design, build, and test electronics for Astra's launch system and space products. They are expected to have hands-on experience in electronics design and be working towards an MS or BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Desired qualifications include exposure to specific technologies and programming languages.

Requirements

  • Working toward an MS, BS, or have equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience in electronics design

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test electronics for both the launch system and space products
  • Partner with a cross-disciplinary team of system owners including electrical, mechanical, controls, and software engineers to design and refine flight hardware

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Hall Effect Thrusters
  • Exposure to radiation-tolerant systems
  • Exposure to redundancy for flight critical systems
  • Exposure or experience in high-vibration environments
  • Experience working in a self-motivated environment
  • Programming experience in C/C++/Python and/or MATLAB

Benefits

$25 - $30 an hour compensation range
