Embedded Software Engineer

Summary

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Porting algorithms from Matlab to C
• Creating MEX files to call C functions and verifying results in Matlab
• Integrating, testing and optimising algorithms on embedded systems, e.g. ARM & DSP SOCs
• Benchmarking results - quantifying changes in performance, features etc. between different software versions and configurations
• Continuous, immersive learning through 'on the job' experiences and assigned training courses (e.g. AI / ML, CUDA, DSP, UI/UX)
• Frequent interaction, information gathering and collaboration with engineers and other individuals from across the business

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with programming and optimising DSP systems
• Capable with Python
• Familiar with MISRA C, ISO13849 or ISO26262
• 4+ years’ of relevant professional experience
• Comfortable with Linux - will be used on a daily basis
• Using task tracking software in an agile environment, e.g. Jira, Trello
