Summary

Join Dynamis as a Mid-Level Emergency Management Specialist! Primarily, you will support the design, conduct, and evaluation of exercises following the Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Program (HSEEP). This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in emergency management. You will need strong writing, communication, and analytical skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with FEMA's NIMS and ICS is preferred, as is some experience with client interaction and business development. Travel up to 25% of the time is required.

Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain CISA Suitability (requires U.S. Citizenship)
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree
  • Have 3-5 years of progressive experience demonstrating familiarity with all-hazards emergency management
  • Be experienced with the application of and certified in HSEEP
  • Possess excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Possess strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Be proficient in research, analysis, and creative thinking
  • Be able to work independently with time management skills, as well as function in a team environment
  • Be able to travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, conduct, and evaluation of discussion and operations-based exercises pursuant to the Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
  • Complete high-quality, detail-oriented deliverables amid competing deadlines
  • Perform an expanded array of tasks assigned by higher level staff, designed to broaden experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs
  • Exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and tact in obtaining and analyzing information related to projects
  • Represent Dynamis in meetings with clients to resolve complex issues and to plan and coordinate work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an understanding of FEMA's National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Incident Command System (ICS), Presidential Policy Directive 8, the National Response Framework, the National Disaster Recovery Framework, and other relevant federal policies and/or documents
  • Have some experience with client interactions, task management, and business development
  • Have experience with critical infrastructure owners and/or operators
