The successful candidate will report to the Senior Employment Counsel, Manager - EMEA. Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in Sweden, Hungary or another jurisdiction in the EMEA region
  • 5-8 years of employment law experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • Experience on a broad range of employment law matters, including hiring, employee relations, accommodations, investigations, terminations, HR policies, employment compliance, and litigation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical legal advice and creative solutions to complex legal matters, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work collaboratively and engage with diverse stakeholders across the organization in an international setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality legal advice on a broad range of employment law matters throughout the EMEA region, including but not limited to hiring practices, employee relations, accommodations, disciplinary processes, terminations, workplace investigations, and employment compliance
  • Develop and provide innovative, practical business-driven solutions to manage employment-related legal risks
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations teams and other stakeholders to develop and implement employment practices, HR policies, and procedures that comply with local and international laws
  • Manage employment-related disputes, claims, and litigation across EMEA including managing and liaising with outside local counsel and business units as necessary
  • Monitor and interpret new and changing employment laws and regulations and partner with HR, Operations and other stakeholders to develop compliance strategies
  • Draft, review, and update employment-related agreements, documents, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of training related to employment law matters
  • Partner with the Product teams to ensure compliance with employment laws across G-P’s products and platforms
  • Assorted other legal team projects to address the needs of a global, high-growth company

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a multinational company across various jurisdictions
  • Experience managing health and safety or occupational risk matters
