Summary

You will advise on employment law issues across multiple jurisdictions, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to the Legal Team's knowledge base. The position requires a qualified French lawyer with experience in employment law across multiple jurisdictions and a passion for HR tech. Requirements

  • Qualified French lawyer (mandatory)
  • Experience in advisory and contentious employment law including the entire employee lifecycle (recruitment, HR policies, benefits, and terminations are the key areas) in multiple jurisdictions
  • Passionate about tech (particularly HR tech) products
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to switch between multiple different projects
  • Well-versed in modern business and legal tools such as Slack and Notion
  • Eager to learn about different legal systems
  • Writes and speaks fluent English and French

Responsibilities

  • Advise on a wide range of employment law issues across multiple jurisdictions, including advising on complex internal and external employee matters
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and effective completion of projects, managing risks and aligning with business objectives
  • Contribute to the Legal Team's knowledge base and expertise while working to build your own unique knowledge base within the Team
  • Master employment law and contracts for particular region or regions (EMEA, APAC, etc.) and different employment law subject matters (terminations, employee management, onboardings, compliance, litigation etc.)
  • Identify company-wide employment law legal issues and work with key internal stakeholders and external partners to implement efficient and effective solutions
  • Contribute to the Legal teamโ€™s sustainable growth and structure, raising internal awareness to the legal teamsโ€™s work and expertise
  • Build relationships with key senior stakeholders across the organisation, evolving the role of the Legal team in order to add maximum value to the business and improve Remoteโ€™s service and product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous in-house experience in an HR Tech, IT or SAAS company is a strong plus
  • It is not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus
