Summary
Join Open Function Group, a fully remote team, as a part-time Project Manager! You will oversee data integration projects for health supply chain use cases, built on the OpenFn platform. This role requires managing business requirements, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely project delivery. You'll work with a diverse team, collaborating with health NGOs and government customers in Nigeria. The position offers flexible hours and opportunities for travel to team meetings and conferences. You'll contribute to impactful projects enhancing data-driven decision-making in the public sector and have the chance to shape our strategy and impact millions of lives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally in data integration, software implementation, or government technology projects
- Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in the public sector or international development space
- Demonstrated expertise in collecting and managing requirements from different stakeholders and delivering against those
- Must be technically savvy and enjoy the design process to build software solutions that meet business goals and objectives
- Strong understanding of health information systems and/or supply chain concepts
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in dynamic, cross-cultural environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end management of data integration projects, ensuring alignment with government partner needs and organizational objectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication
- Coordinate with technical teams to design, develop, and deploy integration solutions between government data systems and external platforms
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
- Conduct stakeholder workshops, requirements gathering, and user training sessions to facilitate system adoption
- Monitor project performance, report on key metrics, and ensure compliance with relevant data governance and security standards
- Troubleshoot project challenges, identify dependencies, and proactively address risks to maintain smooth project execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with health information systems or supply chain systems
- Strong experience with technical project management and/or IT consulting
- Proven track record of managing projects involving government stakeholders
- Understanding of data integration concepts, APIs, and system interoperability
- Experience facilitating workshops for large groups of stakeholders
