Engagement Marketing Intern

Summary

Join Kiva's Marketing team as an Engagement Marketing Intern for a 6-month, part-time, remote volunteer position (July 2025-December 2025). You will assist in managing Kiva's email program, the largest marketing channel, contributing to user retention and engagement. Responsibilities include building email campaigns, conducting data analysis, creating reports, communicating findings, and developing strategies. The internship offers professional development, access to Kiva's network, and a modest stipend. Successful candidates will possess strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with intermediate skills in Google Workspace. This role requires authorization to work in the US. Kiva values diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Build email campaigns and workflows in Iterable
• Conduct campaign reporting and data analysis
• Create and interpret a variety of reports using Looker and Google Spreadsheets
• Be able to clearly communicate findings with team members
• Contribute strategic insights to improve user retention and engagement
• Identify potential growth areas and ways to improve Kiva’s email marketing program
• Work collaboratively with Product leaders to enhance the user journey
• Develop strategy briefs for impactful campaigns
• Understand Kiva’s brand, programs, and audiences
• Provide organizational and administrative support to the Senior Manager of Retention and Engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age or older by July 15, 2025
• Able to commit to the full 6-months term
• Strong critical thinking, with an eye for detail and ownership for your work
• Enjoys problem-solving and relationship building
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Highly proactive and able to work independently
• Highly organized individual with an aptitude for working in a start-up environment
• Intermediate skills in Google docs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
