Summary

Join HashiCorp's growing team as a Quality Assurance Engineer and contribute to the development and improvement of Boundary, a secure access management solution. You will play a key role in designing, prototyping, and implementing frameworks and tooling to support Boundary engineering teams across the full stack. Responsibilities include developing test automation, automating processes to detect issues, collaborating with other teams, and quantifying quality improvements. You will work with engineering and support teams to reproduce complex customer scenarios and create regression tests. This role requires experience with Golang and JavaScript, public cloud infrastructure, software testing, privileged access management, and distributed systems. The position offers the opportunity to work on a challenging and impactful product within a dynamic team.

Requirements

  • Have experience with the Golang and JavaScript programming languages
  • Be comfortable programming (writing code) and scripting
  • Have knowledge of public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Have an understanding of software testing and testability
  • Have a working understanding of privileged access management and tools such as SSH
  • Have experience working with distributed systems
  • Have experience using Vault or Boundary

Responsibilities

  • Develop, advocate for, and support test automation for new and existing features of the Boundary product
  • Automate processes to proactively detect regressions, bugs, and other issues
  • Work closely with other teams to enable and enhance their workflows and productivity
  • Help quantify quality improvements in delivered software
  • Adopt, improve, and advocate for our vision for the quality of our products at scale
  • Work with engineering and support teams to reproduce complex scenarios reported by customers, and enable engineers to write regression tests to fix and prevent them
  • Work on issues and improvements critical to the success of HashiCorp customers and the broader community
