- You possess excellent communication skills and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and leadership
- You are a strong advocate for both the user experience and the developer experience, balancing the needs of the business with the technical realities of the team
- You have a track record of building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity, and accountability
- You are data-driven and have experience with A/B testing and making decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data
- You can navigate and lead through ambiguity, setting clear goals and priorities for your team
- You have a passion for mental health, wellness, or gaming and are excited about the opportunity to build products that make a meaningful impact on peopleβs lives
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of product engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring high-quality engineering practices and scalable solutions
- Work closely with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals and deliver impactful product features
- Be hands-on with coding and technical tasks as needed, helping the team execute work efficiently and effectively, especially during critical project phases
- Drive the team to iterate rapidly on new product ideas, balancing speed with thoughtful decision-making and technical rigor
- Advocate for the teamβs needs, provide career development support, and create an inclusive environment where every engineer feels valued and heard
- Establish and evolve engineering processes, tools, and frameworks that enhance team productivity and product quality
- Identify and address technical debt, improving codebases and system architectures to ensure long-term maintainability and performance
- Be a strategic thought partner in defining the long-term vision and technical roadmap of the companyβs product and engineering capabilities
- Lead by example, participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contributing to the overall technical direction of the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Flutter development
- Familiarity with mental health or wellness products
