Engineering Manager

Summary

Join our team as an Engineering Team Leader in Pittsburgh, PA (or remotely) and lead a small team focused on lighting solutions. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure product success, produce design documentation, and represent North American requirements globally. This role requires strong leadership, customer service skills, and proficiency in SolidWorks. You will support new product launches, quality improvements, and cost-efficiency initiatives, partnering with sales to deliver exceptional engineered solutions. The position includes monthly travel across North America and occasional international travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering (preferred)
• Strong leadership and customer service mindset; mentoring experience ideal
• Proficient in SolidWorks (required); AGI32 or Dialux a plus
• Experience in commercial lighting or electrical product development
• Strategic thinker with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a 3–4 person engineering team focused on lighting solutions
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and global R&D to ensure product success and market fit
• Produce lighting layouts, design documentation, and application drawings
• Represent North American requirements in global product and compliance discussions
• Support new product launches, quality improvements, and cost-efficiency initiatives
• Partner with sales reps and specifiers to deliver best-in-class engineered solutions
• Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and specifier expectations
