Join Splash Financial as an Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers building the infrastructure, services, and experiences powering our lending platform. You will play a critical role in the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of product and platform initiatives, guiding your team to deliver high-quality, scalable software. Collaborate with Product, Design, and other Engineering leaders to solve complex problems and build a culture of high performance, learning, and accountability. This role requires strong technical skills, experience leading high-performing teams, and excellent communication abilities. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of engineering management experience and 8+ years overall in software engineering
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern backend (e.g., Clojure is a bonus) and/or frontend frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience delivering complex projects from idea to production while balancing speed and quality
  • Passion for coaching and growing engineers at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, feedback, and career development support
  • Partner with Product and Design teams to shape technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features on time
  • Ensure software quality through modern engineering practices like CI/CD, code reviews, and testing
  • Collaborate with fellow Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to improve engineering processes, system architecture, and team health
  • Own team rituals (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to maintain velocity and alignment
  • Support hiring efforts by contributing to the recruiting process, helping to build a diverse and inclusive engineering team
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, trust, and continuous improvement
