Join Sprout Social's IT team as a Salesforce Engineering Manager and lead a team of engineers and administrators. Build scalable Salesforce solutions, translate product vision into technical reality, and collaborate with various teams. Own the full software development lifecycle for Salesforce projects and drive the adoption of best practices. This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills and expertise in Salesforce development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce development, team leadership, and a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and methodologies. Requirements
- 7 years of experience in Salesforce development, with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, CPQ) and Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model
- Salesforce Platform Developer, Technical Architect, and/or Salesforce Administrator Certifications are expected/required (e.g. Platform Developer I/II, System Architect, etc)
- Experience working with instances of 500+ users and thousands of service order a year
- 3 years of experience leading and managing a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators
- Deep understanding of Salesforce development methodologies, best practices, and governance
- Expert level experience working with DX, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), advanced declarative (i.e. Flow), and/or custom automations and integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices and tools for Salesforce deployments
- Proven experience working alongside multiple teams across the organization and a strong understanding of the technical requirements of the sales lifecycle
Responsibilities
- Build scalable, robust, and innovative Salesforce solutions that empower our teams and enhance our customer experience
- Lead a talented team of Salesforce engineers and administrators as well as significantly contribute to the evolution of our Salesforce platform. (this is a hands on role ~70% leadership and ~30% hands on engineering)
- Partner closely with your team’s product manager to translate product vision into technical reality and build roadmaps, prioritize features, and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Collaborate with systems solutioning and architect resources on architectural design, technical feasibility assessments, and the implementation of best practices for scalability, security, and performance
- Partner with GTM leadership and partners in Revenue Operations to understand their needs and ensure Salesforce solutions effectively support sales, marketing, and customer success initiatives
- Own the full software development lifecycle for Salesforce projects, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support/maintenance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, well-tested, and documented Salesforce solutions
- Drive the adoption of Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, deployment efficiency and tools within the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Platform Developer, Technical Architect and/or other Salesforce certifications
- Experience with process engineering, documentation, and workflow optimization
- A solid technical foundation of REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Javascript, Apex, Python, and other scripting languages
- A clear understanding of the security, scalability, and maintainability of solution design and business needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
