Engineering Manager, Core UI

Summary

Join Lattice's Engineering team as an Engineering Manager and lead a team working on high-impact projects such as Global Search, Navigation Redesign, and next-gen design system components. You will drive long-term cross-product UX strategy and collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners. This role requires 4+ years of experience managing software engineers, including guiding development, providing feedback, hiring, and fostering a collaborative team culture. You will translate company strategy into actionable team goals, manage and coach engineers, and champion continuous improvement. The role offers a competitive salary ($187,500 - $234,500), incentive stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• You have 4+ years of experience directly managing software engineers
• In this capacity, you have been responsible for guiding and coaching the development of your direct reports, providing performance feedback, hiring, and fostering a diverse, collaborative, and inclusive team culture
• Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
• Track record of aligning technical work with organizational goals and driving impactful outcomes
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an adjustable style to executives, engineers, and nontechnical staff
• Ability to navigate complex discussions and build consensus across departments

Responsibilities

• Translate company strategy into actionable team goals and objectives, aligning technical initiatives with organizational priorities
• Manage, coach, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, learning, and growth
• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting technical growth and aligning their development with team & company objectives
• Bring a relentless passion for continuous improvement for both engineering craft and processes
• You will ensure a delightful, reliable experience for Lattice customers around the globe while simultaneously enabling a rapid pace of development
• You will work with your team, Product, and Design to build new customer-facing products, and improve upon existing ones
• You will represent your team to the larger org. Ensure they receive public recognition for their success and take ownership of their failures

Preferred Qualifications

Preferably, you have professional experience with the technologies with which we work (Node.js, React, Flow, GraphQL, Postgres, Amazon Web Services)
