Engineering Manager, Data

Summary

Join Uniswap Labs as an Engineering Manager and lead a team of data and software engineers. You will provide technical direction for data pipelines, oversee blockchain data integration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This crucial role requires 5+ years of software/data engineering experience, including 2+ years of management. The position offers a minimum salary of $240,000-$275,000, plus equity, tokens, and benefits. The role can be partially or fully remote, with headquarters in SoHo, New York City. Requirements

• 5+ years in software/data engineering roles, with at least 2 years of engineering management experience
• Strong proficiency in data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL, data processing frameworks, serving frameworks)
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience managing agile workflows and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and grow a team of data and software engineers, promoting an inclusive and high-performance culture
• Provide strategic and technical direction to build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and ETL processes
• Oversee the extraction and transformation of blockchain and other data sources, ensuring quality and accuracy
• Work closely with frontend, trading, and product teams to ensure efficient data flow and integration
• Plan, prioritize, and manage projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery of key features
• Drive initiatives to optimize data retrieval and processing, enhancing the performance of our systems as data volumes grow
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related challenges in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a crypto-focused company or startup environment
• Familiarity with blockchain protocols and decentralized technologies
• Proficiency with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, GCP)
• Experience with data visualization tools and libraries
