Requirements

  • Have two or more years of professional experience in a full-time engineering management role
  • Served as a technical leader for large, complex projects (6+ months in length)
  • Led customer facing data pipeline infrastructure teams and/or projects that support product capabilities
  • Upleveled teams of engineers by mentoring and leading by example
  • Have experience working at rapidly scaling startups and/or large companies with environments that prioritize a bias for action
  • Have an interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, Node.js, Terraform), getting hands on when necessary
  • Lead your team in solving major scalability issues related to our data stores and data pipeline, using cloud components, to support Vantaโ€™s core product and unlock new opportunities for the business
  • Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably
  • Develop and hire teams of talented and kind engineers
  • Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering value aligned with Vantaโ€™s business priorities with a sustainable technical foundation
  • Work closely with Vantaโ€™s customers and customer-facing teammates to build and ship high-value products and infrastructure
  • Play an integral role in laying the foundation for Vantaโ€™s engineering culture
