Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience, including hands-on protocol or blockchain development
• 3+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of managing and growing teams, particularly senior engineers
• Deep knowledge of Solidity and the Ethereum protocol, with hands-on experience in reading, writing, and assessing complex projects
• Proven skills in technical project management, with the ability to drive large-scale, impactful projects within the protocol space
• Strong technical and executive communication skills, with an ability to distill complex information for a range of stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior engineers through the full employee lifecycle
• Drive the protocol roadmap to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
• Oversee the development and refinement of core protocol functionalities, including EigenPods, staking, rewards, and slashing mechanisms
• Engage with both technical and executive stakeholders, communicating complex ideas clearly and aligning protocol initiatives with the broader strategic goals of EigenLayer
• Represent Eigen Labs at industry events and engage with the developer community to stay at the forefront of protocol developments
• Serve as the internal champion for protocol security and reliability, safeguarding billions in crypto assets and expanding the reach of Ethereum’s use cases
