Engineering Manager, Quality

Join FloQast as an SDET Manager and lead a team of Software Development Engineers in Test. You will build and maintain automated testing frameworks, ensuring test coverage and compliance. This role requires a hands-on technical leader passionate about engineering excellence and automation. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team, defining test automation strategies, collaborating with DevOps, and establishing quality metrics. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software testing, including 2+ years in a leadership role, and strong automation experience. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or managerial role
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium)
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python)
• Deep understanding of CI/CD processes and integrating automated tests into pipelines
• Experience supporting compliance initiatives (SOX, SOC 2, or similar frameworks)
• Proven track record of building test strategies for SaaS products
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SDETs to develop and maintain automated test infrastructure across multiple product lines
• Define and evolve test automation strategies for frontend, backend, and API testing
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure quality gates align with internal controls and external audit requirements (SOX, SOC 2, etc.)
• Establish KPIs and quality metrics to monitor and continuously improve software quality
• Support code quality efforts such as static analysis, code coverage, and performance testing
• Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant test frameworks are in place to support growth and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in accounting, fintech, or enterprise SaaS
• Familiarity with security, load, and performance testing tools
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS)
