Join Toast, a company dedicated to building a platform that empowers restaurants to thrive, as a Senior Engineering Manager for the Services Infrastructure team. This team tackles complex challenges, scaling distributed systems under high transaction volume. You will lead a team of engineers, drive strategic initiatives, guide teams to build scalable systems, and mentor engineers. This role requires hands-on experience managing a team in a platform/infrastructure or enterprise space, leading complex engineering projects in a Scrum environment, building and running distributed systems, and familiarity with Cloud architectures and patterns.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Enable a team of half a dozen talented engineers to continue performing at a high level and help increase the impact of their work
- Create and drive strategic organization-wide scalability, observability, and reliability initiatives in collaboration with technical leadership and Product Management
- Guide teams to build systems that can support an order-of-magnitude growth in traffic and enable a high degree of infrastructure customization
- Facilitate professional growth by mentoring engineers and leads on your team
