Requirements
- Several years of Engineering Management experience on top of a solid technical background
- Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, or Google Cloud
- Solid background in API technologies and usage
- Comprehensive knowledge of Agile Methodology
- Experience with high volume, scalable systems
- Experience developing and deploying Front-End (Web & Mobile) changes
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and growing your team and empowering each of them to be at their best
- Extensive stakeholder management experience with a focus on working with the wider business and the ability to create alignment across teams
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of major initiatives and balance delivery with sustainable engineering practices
- Define and prioritize deliverables for new products/enhanced functionality, coordinating cross-functional scoping and feasibility to support business and customer needs
- Manage and mitigate high-risk elements of initiatives, effectively communicate issues, risks, and dependencies with stakeholders, escalating where appropriate
- Ensure teams have the appropriately high technical competence and aim for quality
- Develop and support a great team of skilled and motivated engineers, setting clear expectations via constant feedback and 1:1s practices
- Collaborate with the engineering leadership to engage, develop and retain talent
- Facilitate the advancement of team members through the creation of developmental opportunities and targeted skill enhancement via mentoring and professional coaching
- Build a positive and consistent work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust
