Platform Engineering Manager

Summary

Join Docplanner Tech as an Engineering Manager for one of the Internal Platform's teams focused on testing and development environments. You will lead a team of 6-9 senior engineers, focusing on project success and team member development. The role involves managing the team, internal product management, and project management, ensuring stable and scalable environments for development and testing. You will work closely with product teams and stakeholders to enhance developer experience and streamline delivery. Requirements

• Proven experience as a leader in the development of multi-purpose environments or related fields
• Experience in team building and leadership, with excellent mentorship and coaching skills
• Strong technological background related to the whole SDLC
• Proven Product management experience in Platform scope
• You possess strong project management skills and have experience managing projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6-9 senior engineers (multi-disciplinary team)
• Facilitate the technical decision in the proper direction that meets the requirements
• Work closely with the technical leader of the team to develop an accurate technological strategy
• Facilitate communication within the team and across different departments to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives
• Build the team’s mission collaboratively and ensure that all decisions align with and aim to achieve this mission
• Understand and focus on your customer's needs
• Foster Platform as a Product approach
• Own process from discovery to delivery
• Facilitate OKR process
• Enhance and facilitate communication between the team and the product teams
• Set and clearly communicate the team roadmap to achieve the mission and goals
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Act as a hands-on project manager and people leader throughout the process
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time within scope and budget
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, tech leaders, product teams, and legal and security teams
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching inside the team
• Provide regular feedback to team members and help them set and achieve personal career goals
• Regularly assess the performance of team members
