Engineering Team Leader

Summary

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a team of backend developers while remaining actively involved in hands-on development
• Strong programming experience in Python
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong customer empathy with the ability to respond to customer needs while maintaining technical priorities

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with the team on projects of varying scope—from quick turnarounds to long-term, strategic initiatives involving both customers and external vendors
• Be a hands-on technical leader, actively contributing to code development while mentoring and supporting the team’s growth
• Balance customer requirements with engineering best practices to design, develop, and deploy high-quality backend solutions
• Support both pre-sales and post-sales efforts by understanding customer needs, then researching, developing, and implementing quick, proof-of-concept features to validate and improve customer outcomes
