Summary

Join Help at Home as an Enterprise Compliance Program Manager and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, deliver, support, and oversee assigned Enterprise Compliance Program areas. Serve as the Enterprise Compliance and quality lead, working closely with enterprise ethics, compliance, and privacy leadership and external departments to cultivate a culture of compliance. Ensure the organization operates with the highest ethical, compliant, and legal standards. Independently interpret and analyze federal and state laws, institutional policies, and professional guidance. Advise, develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate effective compliance programs. Work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Identify and mitigate compliance risks, contributing recommendations for solutions. Lead with empathy, vulnerability, and honesty, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and celebrating success.

Requirements

  • BS or higher degree required- Healthcare Administration, MBA, master’s in health law, Public Health, or related field or equivalent certification
  • Require Compliance Certification (CHC, CCEP, CHPO) or ability to obtain certification within 12 months as part of the qualifications
  • Minimum (8) years of experience developing and implementing corporate compliance and HIPAA privacy programs
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
  • Experience managing sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be an effective connector between the workforce and management
  • Ability to maintain knowledge & database of core compliance regulations/measures established by CMS, OIG/DHHS, other federal, state and national rules, regulations and laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess situations and make accurate observations in the workplace
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Smartsheet, Visio, MS PowerPoint, and similar tools
  • Excellent time management skill to handle multiple projects
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and methodical
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplined, cross-organizational team of subject matter experts
  • Experience in leading, planning, coordinating, directing, and overseeing multiple projects and teams
  • Previous experience working with payors

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, support and oversee assigned Enterprise Compliance Program areas
  • Serve as our Enterprise Compliance and quality lead and will work closely with enterprise ethics, compliance and privacy leadership and external departments to cultivate a culture of compliance
  • Ensure our organization operates with the highest level of ethical, compliant, and legal standards
  • Provide key input, based on knowledge, experience and expertise at the direction of Enterprise Ethics, Compliance and Privacy leadership, to ensure/maintain compliance with applicable federal regulations, state statutes and Help at Home policies, principles, compliance and ethical standards and procedures
  • Independently interpret and analyze the concepts and principles of federal and state law, institutional policies/procedures/guidance, and professional guidance
  • Serve as an Enterprise and Market content area expert in assigned program areas
  • This will include advising, developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating an effective, data-driven, compliance program(s) with participation from other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Serve as key resource in the development, oversight, management, and record keeping aspects
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams and interface effectively with primarily internal and occasionally external stakeholders across the organization
  • Build consensus among stakeholders after established priorities and gain commitment to achieve defined organizational priorities
  • Use basic project management and organizational skills to lead divisional/departmental initiatives
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks within the organization
  • Contribute recommendations for solutions that maximize organizational compliance performance

  • Identify and track risks and negative trends of non-compliance, and fraud, waste, and abuse activities; propose or implement necessary recommendations, corrective or remedial actions
  • Provide updates on any emerging regulatory compliance rule, regulations, or law
  • Day to day coordination of enterprise compliance program activities including projects driven by the annual compliance workplan and Compliance risk assessment
  • Perform research into various compliance topics, including for example new and existing regulations, best practices
  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders including but not limited to the Clinical Quality leadership, Education, Clinical Services, Regulatory and Compliance, Value-based partnerships and other key stakeholders to take the appropriate steps to facilitate identification and achievement of compliance initiatives and ongoing patient safety improvement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert resource for employees, regarding ethics, compliance, and privacy concerns
  • Conduct and oversee compliance program improvement process, design, testing and implementation of the effectiveness
  • Provide support with response to incidents by conducting and executing activities related to internal reviews, when needed
  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of Enterprise compliance- audit and monitoring activities, sampling, and preparation of materials and reporting in support of the Annual Compliance Work Plan, Annual Compliance Audit and Monitoring work plan
  • Oversees compliance risk assessments, and implementation/communication of findings to enterprise compliance leadership
  • Ensure timely communication and responsiveness to issues, tracking resolution and escalating to the Enterprise Ethics Compliance Privacy Leadership team
  • Foster a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the organization
  • Any other duties and projects assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Home Health and Home Health Care experience preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Works well independently as well as contribute to team efforts
