Requirements

  • Be an expert in data analysis, from production data analytics to financial modeling, capable of writing complex SQL queries
  • Excel at building dashboards and queries to inform key product and business decisions and act as a steward of data quality
  • Thrive at the fast pace required at a Series A startup, capable of quickly putting together thoughtful and bug-free analyses
  • Understand evolving business requirements, can appropriately prioritize near-term requests, and are proactive, getting stuff done while wearing multiple hats and context switching often
  • Quickly learn new skills with minimal direction and are excited to tackle ambiguous challenges
  • Have a proven track record of creating solutions for cross-functional teams, including developing robust load management performance insights and proof-of-concepts to support Optiwatt’s solutions and deliver more value for our clients
  • Effectively partner with the product team to inform the product roadmap and understand how to prioritize client requests
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with utility partners and Optiwatt’s broader clients
  • Understand how to navigate difficult situations
  • Deeply understand client needs and go beyond answering the direct questions by proactively delivering insights to delight a client

Responsibilities

  • Deliver High-Quality Program Reporting: Provide high-quality program reporting and develop data tooling to support critical deliverables such as Monthly Reports and Quarterly Business Reviews for our utility clients and partners
  • Generate Strategic Insights: Generate deep insights into the value of Optiwatt's product and approach from a load management perspective, ensuring alignment with utility client objectives
  • Conduct In-Depth Research: Produce 1-2 deep research projects per quarter, focusing on the value proposition of Optiwatt for enterprise clients and comprehensive market analysis (i.e. the value of different load management tactics)
  • Identify & Prioritize Product Needs: Identify and prioritize when to build reusable solutions vs creating one-off quick-fixes
  • Resolve Data & Reporting Requests: Efficiently resolve data and reporting-related tickets within rapid timeframes (hours to a few days) with minimal reliance on Product or Engineering teams
  • QA Data: Ensure the quality and trustworthiness of our data
  • Foster Data-Driven Culture: Shape our culture to be more data-driven

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess a strong understanding of utility and load management fundamentals and needs
  • Have experience evaluating utility programs and reporting on load shift performance, results, and forecasts
  • Have interfaced with utility or large B2B clients
  • Have spent time learning some of the latest AI technologies
