Environmental Data Technician

Summary

The Environmental Data Technician at ddms is responsible for performing data management and visualization services for large-scale environmental remediation sites. The employee will work under Project Managers and Data Analysts to complete tasks such as loading field and analytical data, generating reports, maps, and graphs, assisting with historical data migrations, and quality control review.

Requirements

• Detail oriented
• Able to track multiple tasks and priorities to complete work on time and within specification
• Proficient with modern office software programs, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Basic familiarity with GIS tools and concepts
• Ability to work remotely and independently to complete assigned tasks
• Great communication skills – both verbal and written
• Ability and desire to learn new technical skills quickly, as well as show critical thinking
• Must be a self-motivator, enjoy problem solving, and able to work both independently and within team environments
• Ability and desire to learn new technical skills quickly, as well as show critical thinking
• Ability to commit to infrequent travel throughout the year

Preferred Qualifications

• EQuIS core product line (Pro, EDP) or similar software
• Experience in environmental remediation industry
• Experience managing environmental databases, using database applications, and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Access, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, R Studio, Python)
• Basic understanding of relational data concepts
• Experience using Esri ArcGIS software products
• BS or higher in physical sciences, geology, engineering
