Summary

Join Oklo's team as an Environmental Projects Manager, leading a team of environmental specialists and external contractors. You will manage environmental compliance, assessments, and risk mitigation, ensuring integration of environmental considerations into project planning. Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, defining scopes of work, developing project timelines, and tracking regulatory changes. You will represent environmental interests in cross-functional meetings and prepare executive summaries. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a relevant field, along with experience in environmental compliance, project management, and relevant environmental acts. Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in environmental engineering, environmental studies, environmental science, or another relevant field
  • Experience in environmental compliance
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and/or National Historic Preservation Act

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary internal team of environmental specialists
  • Coordinate with external environmental consultants and contractors to ensure timely, quality deliverables
  • Define scopes of work, review technical proposals, and oversee execution of environmental studies and documentation
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project timelines and milestones related to environmental assessments and compliance activities
  • Ensure integration of environmental considerations into broader project planning and decision-making processes
  • Identify and mitigate environmental risks early in project development
  • Track changes in environmental laws and regulations and assess their impact on project development and compliance strategy
  • Represent environmental interests in cross-functional planning and strategic meetings
  • Oversee internal environmental project management systems and reporting protocols
  • Prepare executive-level summaries and briefings for senior leadership
  • Collaborate with our operations team and engineering, procurement, and construction contractor on site preparations
  • Document work using modern tools and techniques and write well-written, thoughtful, technical reports
