Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management, construction management, and/or contract management of large-scale projects or programs
- BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, advance study in Project Management and/or MBA desired
- Extensive EPC contracting experience; knowledge of key contractual requirements and risk areas
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Able to work both independently and as a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Structured, logical thinker with strong decision-making ability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong customer service skills with focus on listening to the customer
- Ability to conduct negotiations with vendors, suppliers, governmental entities and utilities
- Working knowledge of the standardized project management processes and tools
- Working knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices
- Working knowledge of project management cost systems
- Working knowledge of project scheduling concepts, techniques, and software such as MS-Project; experience with Primavera P6 a plus
- Working knowledge of office productivity software (MS-Office suite, including use of MS-Excel)
- Working knowledge of project cost budgeting and forecasting methodologies
- Multi-project execution experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed RFP packages, confirm packages include all necessary project documents and details, and manage RFP process for large-scale PV/BESS projects and portfolios
- Maintain bidding platform software as administrator for Pre-Construction Team
- Manage all pre-construction aspects of EPC Contractor activities, from initial out-reach efforts, to schedule and budget planning, through the full RFP and contracting process
- Prepare, negotiate, execute, and oversee both LNTP agreements for pre-financing deliverables and full EPC Agreements
- Coordinate with project teams and EPC Contractors to identify the right contractor base to support specific projects and portfolios
- Create and maintain a contracts compliance tracking system for Construction Management use during construction
- Identify risks to project success and work with internal and external parties to maintain project schedules and budgets
- Support Development and Engineering teams to get projects ready for execution, managing through a structured de-risking process to finalize project scope, schedule, and estimate of cost
- Work with the 3rd Party EPC Contractors on project planning, management, and coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction
- Develop, track, manage, and update all Contract Exhibits, including the Scope of Work and Technical Specifications, to suit each project and minimize change order exposure, and when change orders are required, utilize industry best practice for change management to minimize cost and schedule impacts
- Compile signature packets and coordinate signatures
- Work closely with internal EPC counsel on the review and execution of EPC related contracts, including contract Amendments, LNTPs, MSA, Statements of Work, EPCA, and exhibits
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce experience a plus
- Solar/Storage Industry experience strongly preferred
- Paralegal experience or certification a plus
